Rules and Regulations: Homecraft
Entry Fees:
- Adults 17 and over $10.00
- Class 10 - Golden Years No Fee if only entering in this class.
- Youth No Fee if only entering in Classes 3, 5, 11, 13 or any Youth Specials.
The membership fee must accompany the entry form of all new and returning Exhibitors, except for those listed above.
Entry Forms and Tags
Entry forms are now available on our website at www.chestervillefair.com. You may also enter online through AssistExpo at www.assisexpo.ca/cdas
Entry tags will be available once your entries have been reviewed and the membership fee has been paid (if required) You will be contacted regarding mail or pick up. Tags will not be mailed out after August 5th. Please consider getting your entry forms in early!
Please fill in entry forms and tags very carefully, including signature.
Don’t forget to have the age visible on the top portion of the tag for all youth classes. All youth entry tags must be signed at the bottom by the parent/ guardian.
The Homecraft Committee will be at the Exhibition Hall to receive entry forms (if not entering through AssistExpo) and fees and to give you your exhibitor number and tags, if needed, on the Monday prior to the Fair, August 19th, between 10am and 6pm. Online entries close on August 21st, 2024.
Exhibits
Exhibitors in classes 1 and 2 must be the actual grower unless otherwise stated.
All exhibits submitted MUST be the work of the exhibitor. Dirty, defaced or old work will not be judged.
No prizes unless the exhibit is worthy.
No item can be exhibited more than 2 years in a row.
You may enter only 1 exhibit per section in a class.
Exhibits must be placed on Thursday evening August 22nd, between 7 and 9pm or Friday morning August 23rd between 8 and 9:30 am. Absolutely no exhibits will be accepted after the 9:30 am deadline on Friday morning.
The removal of any prize winning exhibit before 4:00 pm on Sunday August 27th, without the consent of the chairperson in charge, will forfeit the prize money.

Judging
Judging begins at 10 am on Friday morning August 23rd. The exhibit hall will be closed to the public from 10 am until 4 pm. After 4pm the hall will be open for viewing.
All decisions regarding winning entries are at the discretion of the Judges.
Please note that the Homecraft organizers and their committees, as well as any other Fair Directors or staft , have NOTHING to do with the outcome of the judging.
